في إطار المستجدات والقرارات الناتجة عن تعليق الدراسة والتي أعلن عنها الدكتور طارق شوقي وزير التربية والتعليم في ٢٦ مارس ٢٠٢٠، شملت القرارات ما يخص المدارس الدولية بما فيها الدبلومة الأمريكية، وتفاصيلها كالتالي:

من الصف الأول حتى الثاني عشر: إجراء مشروع بحثي بالتواصل مع ادارة المدرسة بالإضافة إلى اختبارات الفصل الدراسي الأول شرطا للانتقال إلى الصف الأعلى.

الصف ١٢ والالتحاق بالجامعات، وتنقسم إلى جزئين:

للطلاب الذين لم يجتازوا امتحان ال SAT: يمثل الـGPA نسبة ١٠٠٪ من المجموع للالتحاق بالجامعة، وعقد امتحان قبول تقوم به وزارة التعليم العالي في المواد المؤهلة حسب كل تخصص.

للطلاب الذين اجتازوا امتحان الـSAT، يختار الطالب بين الالتحاق بالجامعة طبقاً لمعايير العام الماضي (الـGPA ٤٠٪ والـSAT ٦٠٪ )، أو أن يمثل الـGPA ١٠٠٪ من مجموع دخول الجامعة.
أما للطلاب الراغبين في الالتحاق بالكليات العلمية: يشترط أن يكون الطالب قد أتم المواد المؤهلة للتخصص المستهدف، أو أن يجتاز الطالب امتحان SAT ll طبقاً لمعايير العام الماضي.

وبالنسبة لامتحانات المواد القومية: من الصف ١ حتى ١١ يتم إجراء مشروع بحثي ويضاف إلى نتائج اختبارات الفصل الدراسي الأول للانتقال إلى الصف الأعلى، أما عن طلبة الصف ١٢ يتم اختبارهم مع اختبارات الصف الثالث الثانوي العام كما هو متبع.

Following Egypt‘s decision to suspend schools as part of the states efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19, Egyptian education minister Tarek Shawki announced additional protocols on March 26, many of which apply to international schools operating under the American system and American Diploma, which are:

From grade 1 to grade 12: Each student will do a research project in coordination with his school, to be added to Term 1 grades in order to pass to the next grade.

Grade 12 and university admissions:

Students who didn’t pass the SAT:

GPA resembles 100% of the student’s admission grades, and each student will take a test, by the Ministry of Higher Education, for the prerequisite subjects depending on the major.

Students who passed the SAT:

Each student will choose, either to apply based on last year’s criteria (GPA 40% and SAT 60%), or GPA resembles 100% of the student’s admission grades.

Students applying for Science majors: Each student has to have the prerequisite subjects for the desired major, or pass (SAT ll) based on last year’s criteria.

National Subjects:

From grade 1 to grade 11: Each student will do a research project to pass to the next grade.

Grade 12: Students will take the exams like the national system as stated.
